Fort Collins Foothills
The foothills west of Fort Collins are covered by several trail networks
maintained by the City Natural Areas
(Pineridge, Maxwell, and Reservoir Ridge) and
Larimer County Parks (Horsetooth
Reservoir). These combine
to make some great mountain biking that is within easy pedaling distance of
town.
While some of the trails (esp. in Pineridge Natural Area) are suitable for
beginners, much of trail network is technically challenging and physically
demanding. Determined riders are rewarded beautiful views of Horsetooth
Reservoir and the surrounding area.
